Every week before their weekly marital therapy session, estranged couple Tom (Chris O'Dowd) and Louise (Rosamund Pike) meet at a pub to try and get their story straight for the therapist. With each successive episode, we piece together how their lives were, what drew them together and what has started to pull them apart.

Tom promises to be at the session from the start this week.

Tom and Louise discuss the lost passion in their relationship, and if it is something that can be found again.

Tom asks Louise to back him up in a lie with their counselor.

When Tom moves out following a bad session, Louise suggests that it could be the start of a slippery slope.
